Frontline Messenger began when one young man answered God the call of God for evangelism. It was founded as an association in 2014 in north-eastern France. After realizing the need for more individuals trained for mission Frontline Messenger began running short-term missionary training programs in 2020 under the name of “Harvest in Light Missionary School,” which ran for a couple of summers in France and Romania.

After a few years of experience with these programs, we recognized the need of something more, something deeper. At the same time we began to search for a location and funds to have our own facilities for the training school. And at the end of 2023 God blessed us with funds to purchase a small building in the Waldensian Valleys at the beginning of 2024.

Here in Pra del Torno, just a stones throw from where the Waldensian Missionaries trained their young men for missionary service 500 years ago we have our small building for missionary training. The goal is to follow some of the same principles of mission training and work that the Waldensians followed. 

We will have intense Bible Instructor training and Bible memorization, classes in business evangelism, and garden work with other principles of country living. After this time in Pra del Torno, the students will be sent abroad two-by-two like the Waldensian missionaries to gain experience in giving Bible studies and preaching. The final phase of the training will include having an apprenticeship with a small evangelistic business.

Those who successfully complete all three phases of training will be assisted to start their own tentmaking business to be able to continue in evangelism after the training. We don’t want our students to just return back to life and usual at the end of the course. That’s why those who attend the training need to be spiritually mature, and already have a decided mind to run an business with the goal of evangelism.

Our primary objective of this missionary school is to train young men* to become full-time missionaries for God, and to be able to support themselves in mission. If you feel the calling of God for that goal then we gladly invite you to register for the training. We will have a thorough application process with video conference meetings for those interested in attending the training, as space is limited to only 4 young men. Only those who have a clear idea of what they want to do, have good character references, and have a living relationship with God will be accepted as students.

We thank our Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart for the immense goodness that he gives his people at the end of time, despite the troubles that this world experiences. We are persuaded that He will never give up on even the least of his children that put their trust in Him, and he will carry out the mission of which he is the master.

*(We only accept single young men. This is due to a number of factors, such as limited space in the training facilities, sending the missionaries to challenging developing countries, and lack of female staff)
